A journalism graduate, Angeline Teh is a Malaysian creative documentary filmmaker currently based in Paris, France. Her experience as a radio producer at BFM89.9 ignited her interest in unfolding stories of the ordinary in a subtle way and yet visually and aurally vivid. Her films engage with intimate portraits that capture the simple while powerful stories from everyday life. She is currently developing her debut feature, How to Stop Firecrackers from Burning that explores her family history through her mother’s diaries and letters. In 2021, she received a full scholarship and graduated with Magna cum Laude in 2023 from DocNomads Joint Masters Degree programme in Europe.
